Who is S.E. Hinton? Did you think she was a boy or a girl when we first began? Why did you think this?

S.E Hinton is a famous American author. She is a GIRLS. At first when i saw her name i thought she was a guy. I thought that she was a guy because she always writes about gang related things, and she writes in 1st person form with a guy. And the way she writes sound like a guy more than a girl. Alex I.
When my teacher asked what we thought S.E. Hinton was i thought she was a guy. I thougth she was a guy because I didn't ever think of a girl writing about 6 or 7 boys life. I was very shocked when i found out that S.E. Hinton was a girl. I think she is a great author! :D Taylors
I thought it was a boy, becaus it solunds like a boy wrote it, from how its about boys and there in a city. its cover hade some guys on it and thats why i thought it was a guy that wrote it.

william h I thuoght s. e. hinton was a girl and i was right. I thought that here terms of wrighting kind of like a guy.

the name was confusing
at the start of the book i thought that she was a girl because not all boys start there name with a S.
